Finally my long-awaited trip came...I'm really touched by shian, who despite his busy schedules, made effort to read up, surf the web and plan the entire itinerary for our trip.
A quick shot with my tiger airways plane ..... how often do we get a shot with the plane (and not through some glass panel??)

At Macau, amazing, a small town filled with glamourous casinos, with the latest one, Wynn, very posh looking. Some of the architecture and even food there are very much like Europe as it had been ruled by portugese for sometime. Us with the famous St Paul's ruins:

Tasting the awesome Portguese eggtarts....the best we had ever tasted in our lives so far!

From Macau, we took Turbojet to Shenzhen Fuyong where we visited Window of the World. This is a place where they had miniatures of all the famous and wonderful icons, structures, architectures of the world. Eg Effiel Tower from Paris, Arc De Triumph (which has the same name as shIan in chinese, thus was symbolic for him to take the pic!) from Paris,
Parliament house in London, Merlion from Singapore (yes, little Singapore was not forgotten in this park!), Taj Mahal in India etc etc.
There was so much to see, we practically spent one day there and took lots of pics! Weather was pretty hot that day though...but it was all worth it with all the nice pictures taken! Some of the inconic buildings, we haven't even heard of especially when they are from countries we have not been to or are not familiar with, It seemed like we travelled round the world in just one day! Thus this visit was really educational for us :) Its amazing how real some of these structures were built, i especially liked my picture taken with the leaning tower of Pisa, looks real ya? There are really just so many more pics taken here, but i can't show them all here .....
We then took the newly built subway from Window of the World to Luohu, Shenzhen where we checked into the hotel and shopped at Dongmen, one of the popular shopping district in central shenzhen.

The next day, we met Aunt Carolyn at Luohu for shopping and Tim Sum lunch and headed to Hong Kong together by KCR. Its amazing that the journey from Shenzhen to HK is so short, around 30 mins and the KCR is very comfortable, just like our MRT.

Aunt Carolyn and family were very nice, they hosted us at their place in Sai Kung,Hong Kong. They had a very nice place which had a balcony overlooking the place where all the yacht docked at. Very nice and peaceful feeling....we had a BBQ on one of the nights there.

They also had a little dog, Coby which was cute and friendly....though i was a little scared of dogs..overall Aunt and family took great care of us, told us where the locals shop, where the locals eat, and brought us around. We also had fun partying at Lan Kwai Fong with Aunt and friends (mind you! my aunt is very young, hip and trendy! :p)

Well in HK, it was mainly eating and shopping. They had lots of good food and neverending number of shops for us to visit. We had tim sum breakfast like every other day. It was relatively cheaper than in Singapore and the variety of tim sum and the taste was awesome!

I especially like this dessert called "Dan Nai" its actually steamed milk with egg custard and i found this place that sells it in Chocolate flavour! my goodness, i was delighted when i chanced upon it! Other than that, we also visted American Krispy Kreme Donuts' shop where they demonstrated how the donuts were made and gave donuts for free tasting, we also drank the popular 许留山 where they serve refreshing ice blended drinks that are mixed with fresh fruits and the drink is served with several layers of different colours making it look good at the same time.
We visited the Peak where we saw the view of HK in daylight as well as the night scene. The wind was strong and the view was wonderful. We then took a ferry to the Avenue of stars to see the nightview from Victoria Harbour. Awesome!

We also went to Madame Tussad at The Peak, took pics with many life-sized celebrities, politicians and famous personalities...among which i managed to take with my childhood idol, Aaron Kwok.

Dear also managed to take with his favourite actor, Andy Lau.

Of course, we visited Disneyland! We took the MTR there and the train that went towards Disneyland was special! It was fully decorated by disney stuff both inside and outside! Although many poeple have commented that HK disneyland is not that fantastic, we still decided to go becos i like all things cute and since we both haven't been to any other disneylands, there is no room for comparison. Well, if you are going there for rides, then yeah, they are pretty kiddish and no kick. However, the 4D show, the live performances were pretty good.

Also, the disney characters were available everywhere for pictures to be taken with them and i was especially thrilled by this! We managed to take pics with Micky and Minnie in both their usual costumes and their Halloween costumes.

Its cute to see these characters behave just like you know about their charcters from cartoons. No matter how moody you are, you'll be bound to cheer up seeing them!
This was the Halloween season and its a pretty big event in HK. Everywhere we see shops selling the costumes and props and people are enthusiastic to dress up and there are parties all month long to celebrate Halloween. Even at Disneyland, the theme for the month was for Halloween.

The souvenir shops there sell many cute cute stuffs that can be used such as stationary, umbrellas, cutleries, clothes, caps etc etc and they also sell many snack and food items with very cute disney packaging. We managed to visit all 3 of Fantasy Land, Adventureland and Tomorrow land. Needless to say, i like Fantasy Land best cos of the kind of landscape and decors. This is a picture taken at the Sleeping Beauty Castle at FantasyLand.

We saw the usual prarade, where all the disney characters came out to greet and then also another halloween parade, where they came out with this song being played on my blog now...imagine Donald, Daisy, Micky, Minnie and the rest dancing to this tune...haha, so funny!
We spent the whole day there till 7pm where they had the fireworks before closing. The fireworks was very very nice, with disney stories and music being played while the fireworks went on above the Sleeping Beauty Castle....I couldn't bear to leave at the end of everything....

We spent all other time in HK shopping away before going back to Macau to buy some local foodstuffs home such as the famous portugese eggtarts and almond biscuits before taking a flight home...
Us - tired from the trip but happy in our hearts with the experience, the wonderful food and shopping we had, while gearing up to facing work and reality the next day onwards!
